Fundamental Concept of Tao
There is a Presence that emerged from Nothingness. Complete, undefined, and without form; persisting perfectlty within Its own Simplicity and Oneness.
Omnipresent, immutable, and inexhaustible It is the Mother of all Creation. It is unknowable and unnameable yet the ancients were compelled to name it. They chose to call it Tao (The Way, Path, or Course).
We are bound and governed by the rule of law. Nature is bound and governed by physical laws. The universe is bound and governed by the flow of Tao. Tao is neither bound nor governed.
